Facilitating an Online or Blended Course
This workshop is designed to give the instructor who is preparing to teach an online or blended course the opportunity to examine how teaching in these delivery formats is different from the traditional classroom. Issues that will be addressed include: 1) preparations for getting a course off to a good start; 2) examination of different learning options to engage learners; and 3) exploration of different assessment methods. There will be specific activities that need to be completed in each of the four weeks. In Week 1 and in Week 3, there is a one-hour synchronous activity. All other activities in the workshop can be done asynchronously.
