Evening College Overview
Purpose
Evening College is designed for individuals seeking education and/or
skill enhancement who work during the day.
Offerings
Associate degree, technical diploma, and certificate programs as well as individual
courses.
Format
Depending on the course, certificate, and diploma or degree program, courses
are offered in the following formats:
- Accelerated -the majority of these courses are in an 8-week format
- Blended -scheduled over 16 weeks and offered in different learning and delivery methods (face-to-face and online). Reduced amount of face to face learning and on campus time required.
- Online -Courses offered over the internet. You may be required to test on campus.
- Traditional -Courses offered on campus or at another LTC location in a traditional classroom setting.
Length
The amount of time it takes to complete a degree, diploma, or certificate program
will depend on your prior learning and work experience and your personal schedule.
See the specific program information for suggested length of completion. Average
time to complete is as follows:
- Associate Degree -3.5 years
- Technical Diploma -2.5 years
- Certificate - most can be completed in one year, typically a few courses that lead to skill enhancement.
