The four-hour seminars are $49 for each session; all will be held in the Sheboygan County Training Room, Lakeshore Building, on LTC’s Cleveland campus.
Harassment Prevention
Every leader and business owner should understand what constitutes harassment in today’s work environment, how to address and respond to harassment complaints, and most importantly, how to prevent harassment to begin with. “Harassment Prevention” will define, identify, and discuss various types of harassment (sexual, racial, color, religious, age) and the relevant laws. The seminar will take place from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 26. Refer to class No. 67347.
Employment Law Overview
This session will provide an overview of the alphabet soup that is employment law. Tips for effective documentation will also be covered. “Employment Law Overview” will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 5. Refer to class No. 67348.
Behavioral Based Interviewing
Learn how to conduct more successful interviews, using a structured approach. Behavioral-based interviewing is based on the premise that the best predictor of future performance is past behavior. Participants also will learn how to avoid illegal interview questions and questionable hiring practices. The seminar will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 28. Refer to class No. 67349.
Leave of Absence Overview
Every leader and business owner needs to be familiar with the various leaves of absence available to employees. This session will focus on both state and federal Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) provisions, as well as military leave under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). “Leave of Absence Overview” will take place from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 8.
