LTC offers evening mechanical drafting course

CLEVELAND, WI – 

Lakeshore Technical College is offering “Drafting Mechanical 1/CAD,” a course that provides the learner with basic skills to operate AutoCAD. Classes will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. Tuesdays from January 24 to May 8. Cost is $373.50 for this 3 credit course; refer to Class No. 20105. This class can apply to the College’s Mechanical Design Technology Associate Degree Program or the Mechanical Computer-Aided Drafting Certificate.

The course addresses the following topics of AutoCAD’s drawing editor, viewing commands; apply coordinate entry methods, AutoCAD file commands; utilize draw commands, modify commands; create and edit text, prints and plots; apply geometric construction to solve a drawing problem; utilize selection sets, duplicating modify commands, layers and objects properties, blocks; apply principles of orthographic and multi projection.
