LTC offers Industrial Emergency Response seminars in March

CLEVELAND, WI –
Lakeshore Technical College is offering industrial emergency response seminars at the Cleveland campus in March.
The Industrial Emergency Response Operations Refresher class will be held March 6 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The class number is 20022, and the fee is $225.
The annual refresher seminar is for those who have completed Operations Level Training. It will review the competencies necessary for operations level response.
Confinement and containment techniques, practical applications of protective clothing, and ERP/IC procedures will be covered. Participants also will take part in actual containment scenarios.
The Industrial Emergency Response Technician Refresher class will be held March 7 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The class number is 20024, and the fee is $225.
The annual refresher seminar is for those who have completed a Technician Level class. The class will provide hands-on refresher training with personal protective equipment and emergency simulations. Participants will take part in dress-out activity, hazard recognition and risk evaluation, and two staged incident activities.
The Industrial Emergency Response—40-hour Technician Level class will be held March 26 - 30 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The class number is 20023, and the fee is $795. Medical clearance forms are required.
The seminar is designed to satisfy the training requirements of OSHA's 29 CFR 1910.120 Technician Level Training. The 40-hour class will cover response and knowledge from awareness to technician levels. Extensive hands–on and lab activities are included.
The seminar will cover air monitoring and exercise, decontamination, emergency response simulations and standard operating procedures, hazard recognition and identification exercises, incident command, personal protective equipment, a respiratory protection exercise and lab, spill control, toxicology, medical monitoring, and heat stress.
