CLEVELAND, WI –
LTC law enforcement students learned how to prepare an emergency landing area for the Theda Star helicopter during a recent class exercise. The Neenah-based emergency medical services aircraft landed in the Cleveland campus's public safety student parking lot after students cleared and secured the landing zone.
LTC Criminal Justice Instructor James Schuessler said the exercise served as training for his law enforcement students as they led the set up of a landing zone and facilitated the landing of an EMS aircraft using radio communication.
The Theda Star crew gave a short presentation about the aircraft and its use and then allowed the students and observers to get a close-up look at the aircraft.
