LTC offers Community Outreach classes on solar and wind energy

CLEVELAND, WI – 

The general public is invited to take advantage of Lakeshore Technical College's Community Outreach classes on solar and wind energy.

"Solar Energy" is a one-night class on Tuesday, Oct. 7 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Attendees will learn the basics of how solar energy works and hear about installation options for today's consumers.

"The Basics of Wind Energy" is a one-night class on Tuesday, Nov. 4 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Attendees will learn about the mechanics of wind energy and get answers to their questions about this renewable resource.

Both classes will be offered at LTC Cleveland, LTC Manitowoc, LTC Sheboygan, and the high schools in Kiel, Mishicot, Random Lake, and Two Rivers. The classes will be broadcast simultaneously to each location through LTC's Interactive Television system. The fee for each class is $13.71 ($4 for those ages 62 and over).
