About the Career
Medical Assistants are Certified Nursing Assistants who have completed an approved training program and have received additional certification to administer medications and perform nonsterile treatments in a Skilled Nursing Care Facility in Wisconsin, following the policies and procedures of their organization. They perform the delegated function of medication administration under the supervision of a registered nurse. Routes of administration include oral; topical; eye, ear, and nose drops; vaginal; rectal; transdermal; and oral inhalers.

Special Note
Applicants need to have recommendations from their current employer and have a minimum of 2,000 hours as a Certified Nursing Assistant with at least 40 hours working with the residents who students will work with during clinical experience.

- $120.00 per credit (resident)
- $173.00 per credit (out-of-state resident)
- Online class fee is $10 per credit
