American Bar Association Requirement for Paralegals

The Lakeshore Technical College Paralegal Program, in order to maintain consistency with American Bar Association requirements, requires that students take a minimum of four (4) legal specialty courses in a live, synchronous “real time” format. You will not be granted a degree unless you comply with this requirement. It is critical, that you plan your course work accordingly. 10-110-104 Legal Research 10-110-114 Administration of Estates
10-110-105 Legal Writing 10-110-115 Administrative Law
10-110-107 Legal Aspects of Business Organizations 10-110-122 Debtor-Creditor Relations
10-110-160 Employment Law 10-110-168 Criminal Law

As you plan your schedule, be sure to consult the table above to ensure that when you apply for graduation, you have met the requirement that you have taken at least four of the above mentioned courses in a live, synchronous “real time” format.
