LTC to Hold Free College Preview Night

Lakeshore Technical College will be holding a College Preview Night on Wednesday, April 10 from 4-7 p.m. on the Cleveland Campus. College Preview night is designed as an informational session and all people interested in learning more about college options are welcome to attend this free event. This year's event offers many new features including a focus on parents of prospective students. A parent-to-parent panel will discuss the issues that face both parents and students as they decide their higher education options. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about more than 50 degree programs in one room and there will be breakout sessions for parents and working adults. Also new this year will be an employer panel as representatives from area companies like ACUITY, Manitowoc Company, Kohler Hospitality and Aurora will discuss their employment outlook and the skills and education needed to be ready for hire. "College Preview Night is a great chance for high school students and their parents, as well as adult students, to visit with LTC staff and local employers and learn about the various educational opportunities and career paths available to them," said Doug Gossen, Vice President of Student Services. "LTC is proud to offer an event that will aid students in choosing their career path." The event will also provide individuals the opportunity to meet with experienced faculty and staff to talk about specific degree programs. Participants will also get an up-close look at LTC's high-tech, hands-on learning environment, hear about top careers from area employers, find out the skills needed for in-demand jobs, and meet the Diversity & Multicultural Services Staff to learn how they can help you reach your education and career goals. The event is free and no pre-registration is required. For more information, please visit
