LTC To Offer Child Care Continuing Education Series

CLEVELAND, WI —
Lakeshore Technical College is offering a series of child care continuing education seminars beginning later this month. Seminars are open to anyone interested and are geared toward childcare professionals. Childcare professionals can receive continuing education credit and must bring their registry number to receive credit. All classes have been approved for Tier 2 continuing education credit with The Registry. Individuals may attend one or all of the seminars.
The first seminar in the series is "The Deepest Message: Exploring the Emotional Culture of our ECE Programs" and will be held on Monday, September 25 from 6:30-8:30pm. During this seminar, participants will explore positive ways to support children's social and emotional development. The class number is 66178.
The second seminar being offered is "Talk – Communication is Key" and will be held on Monday, October 30 from 6:30 – 8:30pm. During this seminar, attendees will learn what the expected developmental norms are for birth through age 12. Participants will also learn activities and strategies to increase overall language development as well as strategies for when communication breakdowns affect behaviors. The class number is 66179.
The instructors for the series of seminars are Kelly Matthews, Harvest Resources Associate and owner of A Place For You Early Childhood Consulting in Oshkosh and Leigh Ann Kramer, Educational and Behavioral Consultant.
All seminars in the series will take place at LTC's Cleveland campus in the Wells Fargo Conference Room. The cost for each seminar is $25.
