LTC To Offer Electrical Continuing Education Series

CLEVELAND, WI —
Lakeshore Technical College is offering a new series of electrical continuing education seminars beginning February 25. Approved by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services, seminars are geared toward electrical professionals from Beginner Electrician to Journeyman to Master status and covers residential, commercial and inspection topics. Participants can take one or all three of the seminars in the series.
The first of three available seminars will be on February 25, 2013 from 5:30-9:30pm with Electrical Troubleshooting. The seminar covers an overview of electrical symbols and reading of an electrical drawing. It is designed for the industrial electrician who is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the automated equipment of today. The students will then be provided with electrical systems with build in faults and be trained in efficient and effective methods of troubleshooting the systems. This seminar is approved for four hours of continuing education credit by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
The second seminar, National Electric Code Update, will be held on March 4, 2013 from 5:30-8:30pm. This seminar will focus on NEC 2011 updates regarding industrial motor equipment installation and is designed for the industrial electrician who is responsible for the installation and relocation of industrial motors and equipment. This seminar is approved for three hours of continuing education credit by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
The final seminar, Three Phase Motors and AC Servos, will be held on May 14, 2013 from 8am – 4:30pm. This seminar will concentrate on troubleshooting and repair of 3 phase AC, DC and AC servo motor circuits and is designed for the electrician who is responsible for installation, troubleshooting and repair of three phase motor systems. This seminar is approved for eight hours of continuing education credit by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
