CLEVELAND, WI –
Lakeshore Technical College will be offering Welding State Certification preparation and testing classes in May. The classes allow participants to prepare for and perform welder qualification state testing using the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) or Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) welding process.
The three class series will be held on Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on May 4, 11 and 18. Classes are on the Cleveland Campus in the Trade and Industry Building. The classes will consist of code requirements, hands-on application, and completion of the state certification test using 1â€ plate, 1/4â€ root, with 1/4â€ back-up bar with participants welding in either SMAW or FCAW vertical and overhead position.
