LTC honors graduates at Winter Commencement

Lakeshore Technical College awarded degrees to nearly 230 students following its winter commencement ceremony December 21. Glen Tellock, President and CEO of Manitowoc Company, Inc., served as the keynote speaker.

“You’ve already built something real here at LTC – a solid foundation of skills and knowledge from a great school,” Tellock told graduates. “Now, as you take the next steps in your journey, I encourage you to keep building something real for yourself.”

Nicole Gaus of Sheboygan was the student speaker.  Gaus graduated with an associate degree in Hotel/Hospitality Management and is a manager at Chili’s Restaurant in Kohler. Gaus participated the Costa Rica Ecotourism Study Abroad opportunity in May of 2012 and was also a member and the President of the Hospitality Club.

“When life is difficult, look back at this moment and remind yourself that you’ve overcome bigger obstacles, and you not only survived but came out stronger, and smarter,” Gaus told her fellow graduates. “Don’t wait for the doors to be opened, open them.  Don’t wait for opportunities, go and get them!”

Approximately 230 students were eligible for graduation. The names of graduates, their hometowns and programs appear below. All hometowns are located in Wisconsin unless otherwise noted:
