CLEVELAND, WI —
Lakeshore Technical College is offering a pair of project management seminars beginning this April. Participants can choose to register for one or both seminars.
The first seminar being offered is Project Management.Â Â This two day seminar will be held on Tuesdays, April 8thÂ and 15thÂ from 8am â€“ 4:30pm on the Cleveland campus and will explain the role of projects and the importance of project management in business environments. Participants will also have the opportunity to create and develop successful proposals and learn the basic tools to planning, scheduling, organizing, and controlling projects such as product development, construction, information systems, and special events.Â Â
This seminar will also include major topics of strategy, priorities, organization, project tools, and leadership with the primary emphasis being on the project management process and tools such as work breakdown structures and networks for use in managing resources and schedules.Â Â There will be a brief overview of Microsoft Project.Â Â The cost for this seminar is $425 and the class number is 27460.
The second seminar being offered is Microsoft Project Introduction.Â Â This seminar will be held on Friday, May 9 from 8am â€“ noon on the Cleveland campus and will explore the basics of Microsoft Project 2010 and provide an introduction to the software features.Â Â The concepts to be introduced include opening the application, navigating the project window, creating new project, entering tasks and durations, modifying schedules and calendars, linking tasks, modifying lag and lead time, and identifying predecessor and successor tasks.Â Â This seminar will be particularly helpful for individuals who have never used Microsoft Project before.Â Â The cost for this seminar is $105 and the class number is 27461.
