Lakeshore Technical College is offering three separate seminars on Excel and QuickBooks in June.
The first seminar being offered, Excel Basics 2013, will take place at LTC Manitowoc in room M103 on Tuesday, June 9 from 9:00am - noon. This seminar is designed for people who have never used Excel before and will explore the basics of spreadsheets, entering data, and becoming comfortable with the user interface. It will also provide an introduction to the many tools used to create and use spreadsheets productively.
The second seminar being offered, Using Basic Formulas and Functions in Excel 2013, will take place at LTC Manitowoc in room M103 on Tuesday, June 16 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This class will introduce participants to the concepts and terminology associated with formulas, and demonstrate how to create and edit, copy and paste, and how to check for errors in formulas. Participants will also be introduced to the Function Library, Excel's formula bar and will learn how formulas can be used for conditional formatting.
The third seminar, QuickBooks 2014, will take place on the Cleveland campus on Wednesday, June 17 from 5:30 - 8:30pm in room L105. Participants will learn what QuickBooks 2014 can do and how to set up customers, vendors, employees; enter invoices and bills; receive payments; pay bills and write checks; record bank deposits, transfers and reconciliations; create payroll checks; journal entries; and create QuickBooks reports, such as an income statement and balance sheet.
The cost of each seminar is $75. The class numbers are 40735 for the first seminar, 40736 for the second and 40734 for the third seminar.
