CLEVELAND, WI —
CLEVELAND - Lakeshore Technical College has earned recognition as the newest member of the M-List by the Manufacturing Institute, an affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers. The Manufacturing Institute the Institute is committed to delivering leading-edge information and services to the nation's manufacturers and is focused on the attraction, qualification and development of world-class manufacturing talent.
The M-List recognizes high schools, community colleges, and universities that are teaching manufacturing students to industry standards. Specifically, these institutions offer students the opportunity to earn NAM-Endorsed Manufacturing Skills Certifications as a standard part of their manufacturing education programs.
"Manufacturing is the economic lifeblood of the Manitowoc and Sheboygan industrial corridor," said Dr. Michael Lanser, LTC President. "Adding M-List membership will expand opportunities for students at the KOHLER Center for Manufacturing Excellence at LTC and our local manufacturers will also benefit from it."
LTC was acknowledged for their outstanding Welding and Introduction to Manufacturing and Production courses, and as a result of M-List recognition, enrolled students will be eligible to receive certifications in accordance with the American Welding Society and the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council.
