Lakeshore Technical College is offering three separate seminars on Microsoft® Excel in August. All seminars will take place at LTC Sheboygan in room S120.
The first seminar, Excel Basics, will be offered on Wednesday, August 17 from 9:00am – noon. This seminar is designed for people who have never used Excel before and will explore the basics of spreadsheets, entering data, and becoming comfortable with the user interface. It will also provide an introduction to the many tools used to create and use spreadsheets productively.
The second seminar, Using Basic Formulas and Functions, will take place on Wednesday, August 24 from 9:00am – noon. This class will introduce participants to the concepts and terminology associated with formulas, and demonstrate how to create and edit, copy and paste, and how to check for errors in formulas. Participants will also be introduced to the Function Library, Excel's formula bar and will learn how formulas can be used for conditional formatting.
The third seminar, Creating Charts and Pivot Tables, will be offered on Wednesday, August 31 from 9:00am – noon. This seminar will teach participants how to create a picture of their data using Microsoft Excel 2013's Chart Tools. Participants will also learn to analyze a large amount of data by using Pivot Tables to look at the data in different scenarios.
All sessions will be taught using Microsoft® Excel 2013. The cost for each seminar is $75. The class numbers are 42091 for the first seminar, 64000 for the second and 64001 for the third.
