CLEVELAND, WI —
Lakeshore Technical College is offering a series of electrical continuing education seminars on November 7 and 9. Participants can take one or both of the seminars in the series.
The first seminar, Electrical Code Update: Analysis of Changes to the 2017 NEC, will be held on Monday, November 7, from 5:30-8:30pm. This seminar is approved for all electrical licensing categories and will review hundreds of revisions in the 2017 NEC that will have a direct impact on residential, commercial, and industrial installations. Participants should bring their NEC 2011 code book. A copy of the SPS 316 will be provided.
This seminar will be held in the Cleveland Training Room on the Cleveland campus and the cost is $79. The seminar is approved for three hours of continuing education credit by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services for all electrical licensing categories including the inspectors. The class number is 66164.
The second seminar, Electrical Safety and Arc Flash Hazard, will be held on Wednesday, November 9 from 8:00am-noon. This seminar will educate the learner about the safety hazards involved in working with or near electricity and will review the basics of electricity, discuss electrical terms, and identify methods that can be used to ensure proper operation of electrical equipment. In addition, participants will examine the new industry standards for establishing safe practices to protect electrical workers from the hazards of shock, electrocution, arc flash, and arc blast and will learn how to apply them in the workplace.
This seminar will be held in the Manitowoc County Training Room on the Cleveland campus and the cost is $125. This seminar has been approved for four hours of continuing education credit by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services for: Commercial Electrical Inspector, Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, and UDC-Electrical Inspector.
