Lakeshore Technical College is offering four separate seminars on Microsoft® Excel and QuickBooks Pro in in May.
The first seminar, Excel Basics, will be offered on Thursday, May 4 from 9:00am – noon at LTC Sheboygan in room S105. This seminar is designed for people who have never used Excel before and will explore the basics of spreadsheets, entering data, and becoming comfortable with the user interface. It will also provide an introduction to the many tools used to create and use spreadsheets productively.
The second seminar, Using Basic Formulas and Functions, will take place on Thursday, May 11 from 9:00am – noon at LTC Sheboygan in room S105. This class will introduce participants to the concepts and terminology associated with formulas, and demonstrate how to create and edit, copy and paste, and how to check for errors in formulas. Participants will also be introduced to the Function Library, Excel's formula bar and will learn how formulas can be used for conditional formatting.
The third seminar, Intro to QuickBooks Pro 2014, will be offered Wednesday, May 17 from 5:30-8:30pm at the Cleveland campus in room L105. This class is designed for individuals with little or no QuickBooks experience and will cover the basic functionality of QuickBooks. Attendees will be shown how to setup accounts, items, customers, vendors and employees and will also learn payroll basics, transferring money between bank accounts and reconciling bank accounts at month end.
The fourth seminar, Creating Charts and Pivot Tables, will be offered on Thursday, May 18 from 9:00am – noon at LTC Sheboygan in room S105. This seminar will teach participants how to create a picture of their data using Microsoft Excel 2013's Chart Tools. Participants will also learn to analyze a large amount of data by using Pivot Tables to look at the data in different scenarios.
The cost for each seminar is $75. The class numbers are 23002 for the first seminar, 23003 for the second, 26148 for the third and 23004 for the last seminar.
