The Carpentry Apprenticeship Exam is administered in place of the Accuplacer. This exam is used to determine eligibility for potential carpenters.
The cost is $25, retakes are $25.
Two hours are allowed for the test and a calculator will be provided by Testing Services.
Passing score is 70% or better.
Test Components include, but are not limited to:
- Fractions, angles and areas
- Strong emphasis on math, as well as mechanical understanding
- Math will involve concepts of algebra, as well as determining angles and formulas for determining areas and volumes of different types of geometric figures
- Awareness of compass and measurements in terms of degrees, minutes and seconds
