The Registered Nurse to EMT Certificate is specifically designed for State of Wisconsin licensed RNs. It allows completion of the EMT curriculum in 54 hours instead of the traditional course of approximately 200 hours. Completion of the training will allow a Wisconsin Registered Nurse to challenge the National Registry of EMTs basic exam.
Upon successful completion of these written and practical exams, State of Wisconsin EMT licensure may be obtained. This class includes classroom instruction at the LTC-Cleveland campus, skills practice and ambulance ride-along opportunity.

Proof of current Wisconsin Registered Nurse licensure and CPR for the Healthcare Provider.
The ambulance clinical experience of five patient contacts can be done with any ambulance service that provides 911 coverage. LTC has current clinical affiliation agreements with 20 Wisconsin ambulance services and additional affiliation agreements may be made with any approved service in your region willing to accept you as an intern.
