Lakeshore Technical College is proud to offer a 2-day hands-on painting class focused on automotive refinishing techniques.
Students will paint a minimum of two paint projects and will have the opportunity to learn how to set-up and properly use the following equipment:
- Sata 5500 1.3 RP spray gun
- Sata 4000 1.4 HVLP spray gun
- Dynabrade dual action sanding equipment with vacuum
Student painting projects include:
- Partial and complete vehicle bodies
The college provides student paint projects and personal protective equipment including paint suits and respiratory protection.
Class size is limited to five students to maximize instructor-student assist time.
About the Instructor
Jack Charles has been working for Lakeshore Technical College as a full-time instructor since 2009. Jack has earned refinishing certification with several of the larger paint brands. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Education and Training from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and teaches in the LTC Automotive Collision Repair Training Program.
