Community Based Residential training prepares learners for employment in community-based residential facilities.

Fee includes registry fee with UW Oshkosh.

Registration one week in advance is appreciated. Class may be canceled due to low enrollment.

CBRF Standard Precautions Training

...covers the nature of infectious diseases and the transmission of microbes. The exposure control plan and how to handle blood and bodily fluids will be covered. The use of personal protective equipment and effective personal hygiene practices for infection control will also be included.

Fire Safety for CBRF

...has been approved by the Wisconsin Division of Community Services as meeting the fire safety and evacuation training requirements for operators and staff of community-based residential facilities (CBRFs) mandated in Section 50.035 (1) of the Wisconsin Statutes.

CBRF Medication Administration Training

...covers basic terms, abbreviations, drug classifications, and side effects and drug interactions. Drug administration procedures for oral, typical inhalant, eye/ear/nose drops, and suppository are presented along with requirements for handling controlled substances. Documentation and storage is included in this module as well as DHFS 83 regulations for the CBRF caregiver who administers and manages medication administration.
