Course Descriptions
The class is intended to introduce students to the National Electric Code(NEC) Book-NFPA70 and will concentrate mainly on industrial applications. The NEC is very complex and deals with many different types of installations. Understanding the terminology and how to use the various tables and charts will aid in the proper application of the electric code. We will concentrate on article 90, chapters 1-4, the tables in chapter 9, and Annex C throughout the class. Class time will consist of lectures followed by worksheets students will complete. This will further reinforce the complexities of the NEC and how to apply it. Students will be provided with a copy of the NEC.
All sessions are taught by Andrew Thelen, LTC Electro-Mechanical Technology Instructor.
