Energy Education Center

Lakeshore is proud to train tomorrow's green energy workers. Our labs and classrooms provide an environment for hands-on training in nuclear, wind and flexible energy programs.

Our indoor wind lab provides a year-round laboratory for critical hands-on learning on wind turbine nacelles, hubs, and blades while four smaller scale wind turbines and a full-size tower section allow our students put their skills to work at greater heights. Several photo-voltaic solar panels add to the college's green energy infrastructure. Most recently, the college built its Green to Go mobile laboratory to showcase the many aspects of energy education at learning sites throughout the region.

As a center for energy education we also offer Wind Turbine SAFER (Safe: Access, Fall protection, Evacuation, and Rescue) training, Photovoltaic/Solar training and Weatherization training.
