Library Facility

How do I get to the LTC library?

Take West Campus Drive, veering right onto Voechting Drive. If you're a visitor (without a parking tag) park in the one-hour visitor parking spots in Lot 1 or Lot 4.  Enter doors L4, and you'll see the Student Resource Center directly in front of you. Lost? Take a look at the map or give us a call at 920.693.1130

How late is the library open?

We are open Monday – Friday year-round, except for college-recognized holidays. Check the Library homepage for our hours (scroll down to the bottom)

Can people from the community come and use the library?

Yes, we welcome community members to our library. To use the computers and/or print, community members may stop by the circulation desk to get login information. Cost for printing is .10 per black and white page or .50 cents per color page.

How do I use a study room?

Study rooms are available first-come, first-serve and are checked out in 2-hour increments. Users can renew the room as long as no one is waiting for one. Students are given priority, but staff can reserve a room for use with a student.

My instructor said they have office hours in the library. Where is that?

Some instructors hold their office hours in the library to be even more accessible to their students. They typically sit near the computer lab by the library entrance. Check the sign there to see what time instructors are there.

What do I need to check out a book?

You need your LTC Student ID.

Where do I get my LTC Student ID card?

Get your free LTC Student ID card at the Welcome Center/Student Services in the Lakeshore Building of the Cleveland campus. Take your photo and pick up your card in a few minutes.
You must have an active Student ID card to borrow laptops and tablets. 

How long can I check out a book?

Most books are able to be checked out for one month. Course textbooks and materials have varied checkout lengths.

How do I renew a book?

Most Library materials may be renewed in person; over the phone (920) 693-1130; by email library@gotoltc.edu, or on the Library website click on My Account.

Search our library catalog by keyword, title, author, subject and more.

What's the Off-Campus Database Login?

Students:
Login: student ID #
Password: network login password (same used to log into campus computers.)

If you forgot your password or are unable to log in, passwords can be reset by contacting the Help Desk. During Library open hours you may contact the Library, phone 920.693.1130, or email library@gotoltc.edu with any questions.

Staff:

Printing

How much does printing on campus cost?

Printing cost $.05 a page for black ink and $.50 a page for color ink. Price is the same for single or double-sided prints, so it saves you money to print double-sided!

How much printing money do I start with each semester?

$10.00 per semester (fall, summer, spring)

How do I add money to my printing account?

See a library staff member to add credit to your Print Manager account. Student Services, LTC Manitowoc, and LTC Sheboygan front desk staff can also add additional funds to your printing account. Cash or check only.


Computers

Are laptops available for students?

Yes, current students enrolled in at least one undergraduate-level course may check out a laptop for one week. There's opportunity to renew if no one is on hold.  Bring your LTC Student ID card to the Library Desk. Laptop bag, power cord, and computer mouse are included with the rental. Headphones, portable CD/DVD drives, and flash drives are also available for checkout. 

How do I check out a tablet or eReader? 

Tablets such as iPads, Microsoft Surfaces, Kindle Fires, and Samsung Galaxy Tablets may be borrowed if you are a current student enrolled in at least one undergraduate-level course. See what devices are available on the Devices & Equipment page. Check out a device at the Library Desk. You'll need to bring an LTC Student ID card.

Where can I go to get my personal computer fixed?

The Computer Repair Center (CPR, Room 119A) is open Monday - Thursday 12-1pm when classes are in session. This area is staffed by IT Support Specialist Students who look at personal computers, typically free of charge. The repair center opens in late September and late February once students are in classes a few weeks. 

I think I left my flash drive in a Library Computer!

Check in the computer you were working at or stop at the Library Desk to see if someone turned it in. The Library staff will typically check for a name on the first file they see and send an email to the owner's LTC email address.
