Explore Energy Careers for Females

Female Energy Careers

Wednesday, September 21, 2022

9 am – 12:15 pm

Cleveland Campus | Energy & Agriculture Building

Everyone appreciates access to reliable electricity and living in an energy-efficient home makes our weather much more tolerable, especially during hot Wisconsin summers and cold winters. Though the Bureau of Labor recognizes energy sector jobs are growing at an above average rate, the workforce in renewable energies and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning has historically been a predominantly male workforce. It’s time to change that!

Females are highly encouraged to explore careers available in renewable energies and home energy efficiency. Join us – perhaps with a female friend or family member – and gain hands-on experience as you:

  • Explore the wind & solar industries
  • Build & test a small model wind turbine
  • Learn about new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems that help make Wisconsin homes more efficient
  • Take in an overview of energy in Wisconsin

Meet faculty and Admissions Advisors, ask questions, and enjoy lunch on us!
