Heidi Soodsma

Strategic Development provides oversight to strategy, outreach, and marketing.  Strategy provides centralized responsibility for college planning, institutional research, business intelligence, and accreditation.  The department leads evidence-based analysis, planning and evaluation in order to advance quality and compliance.  Services provided across the institution ensure data-informed college programs, products, and initiatives to enable the college's mission and vision.   Outreach focuses on internal and external communications for the college.  Collaboration and communication with staff, students, state and local elected officials, the business community, and members of the public are vital to our strategic direction.   The marketing function assimilates and correlates internal and external communications through the college public website, social media, and extensive publications and advertising media.  Works in alignment with the President to oversee institutional planning, policy, and decision making.

Heidi holds a Bachelor of Education from Dordt University and a Master of Business Administration from Cumberland University.  

Heidi is a member of United Way of Manitowoc County Board of Directors and a member of The Crossing Board. She is a first-generation college graduate.
