Forbes Places Lakeshore Technical College on its List of Top 25 Trade Schools

CLEVELAND, WI —

Forbes recently released its list of Top 25 Trade Schools in the U.S. with Lakeshore Technical College claiming the number 17 spot.

In introducing the rankings, Forbes indicated, “Four-year schools are good fits for many students, but the notion that they’re the best one for all students is downright wrong. As high-tech machines continue to disrupt how things are made, and as workforces age in many technical fields, there are vital jobs opening up that academics just can’t fill. Highly-skilled and well-trained workers are needed, and the country is home to top-notch technical schools ready to fill that need.”

This is the second year Forbes conducted the rankings, but the first time LTC appears on the prestigious list. In determining the ranking criteria this year, Forbes modeled their two-year college list similarly to their four-year college rankings and scored colleges on four different criteria including graduate earnings, affordability, completion success, and student experience.

LTC President Paul Carlsen said the ranking is a win-win-win for students, staff, and the community.  He said, “This ranking proves that students have a nation-leading, high-quality, higher education choice close to home; recognizes the LTC team’s commitment to excellence; and showcases the success of our graduates, 70% of whom choose to stay and work in the Lakeshore area.”
