CLEVELAND, WI —

Lakeshore Technical College graduates continue reporting high wages and high employment rates after graduation. The college follows up with graduates six months to a year after graduation to gather employment information it can report back to the community regarding how well its mission is being accomplished.

The survey of 2020-2021 academic year graduates showed the median annual salary for associate degree graduates increased to $54,048 – a 3.95% increase over 2019-2020 graduates.

Reporting the highest salaries were nursing and radiography program graduates, at $60,315 and $57,196, respectively. Both salaries increased more than 11% from the previous year.

Ninety-three percent of graduates reported obtaining employment. Among those graduates, 97% found employment in Wisconsin; 74% found employment in the Lakeshore district.

“As a college that relies heavily on taxpayer support in a district experiencing low unemployment, we understand how important it is to graduate students who are workforce-ready as quickly as possible,” said Lakeshore President Dr. Paul Carlsen. “The ability to continue reporting such highly positive outcomes, including family-sustaining wages with local employers, shows the community we are living our mission to provide quality education for in-demand careers.”

Among graduates who completed the survey, a majority of the 63 programs reported had a 100% employment rate. Many of the programs were in manufacturing, public safety, and information technology. In addition, 94% of graduates reported being satisfied or very satisfied with their education.
