Workforce Advancement Training (WAT) Grants
Develop, improve, and advance the skills of your workforce through a WAT grant.
The Wisconsin Technical College System Board awards Workforce Advancement Training (WAT) funds to promote increased
investment in the skill development of incumbent workers. This leads to improved productivity and competitiveness
for Wisconsin businesses, strengthens the state’s economic base, supports career pathways, and expands technical
college training and technical assistance services to businesses and industry.
Training under a WAT grant must focus on occupational skills, though can include a combination of occupational,
academic, and employee advancement/employability courses. Courses are typically customized to the needs of your
business.
