LTC to Offer Ear Reflexology Seminar

CLEVELAND, WI —
Lakeshore Technical College is offering a seminar on ear reflexology. The seminar, Basic Ear Reflexology for Symptom Management, will take place on April 20 from 8 a.m. until noon. The same seminar will also take place on May 23 from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. Both offerings will meet at the LTC Cleveland campus in the Cleveland Training Room and cost $149.
Ear reflexology is primarily a relaxation technique and can negate the effects of stress while it helps the body relax and balance. It can also be used as a diagnostic and healing treatment that stimulates points on the ear that correspond to different parts of the body.
Participants in this seminar will learn the history and theoretical basis of ear reflexology, anatomy of the ear and major landmarks, explanation of the ear reflex map and master points with lots of hands-on practice. Participants will also become proficient in a basic ear routine, working the powerful Master Points and gentle ear relaxation.
The instructor for the seminar is LuAnn Lonergan RN, MSN, AAEd. Lonergan is a Nursing Instructor and Reflexology Instructor at Lakeshore Technical College. She has been an RN for 30 years and a Reflexologist for 12 years. She is a National Board Certified Reflexologist (NBCR).
This continuing nursing education activity was approved for 3.5 hours by the Wisconsin Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
