LTC to Offer New Robotics Programming Seminars

CLEVELAND, WI —

Lakeshore Technical College is offering a new series of robotics programming seminars in December and January.  All seminars will be held in the Nierode building on the Cleveland campus.

The first seminar, Robotics for Operators, will be held on Friday, December 1 from 7:30am-4:00pm.  This seminar is for production operators who are working with Fanuc robots or see a future in working with Fanuc robots. The seminar will cover robot safety, investigate and evaluate differences in jogging modes, program initiation from a teach pendant, and program recovery. The cost of this seminar is $250 and the class number is 66694.

The second seminar being offered is Robotics–Intro to Programming. This seminar will be held on Friday, December 8 and Friday, December 15 from 7:30am-4:00pm. This seminar is designed for individuals who work closely with Fanuc robots and require a better understanding of the robot program. Participants will discuss robot safety, tool frames, job frames, and saving and recovery Fanuc robot controller memory. Lab experiences will include creating tool frames, creating user frames and starting a program. Students will also learn how to save and recover programs they have created. The cost of this seminar is $475 and the class number is 66695.

The third seminar in the series is Robotics–Programming. This seminar will be held on Monday, January 15; Tuesday, January 16; and Wednesday, January 17. This seminar is a continuation of the Intro to Programming seminar. Participants will learn how to utilize tool and user frames in programs, experiment with recreating frames to adjust programs, work with editing commands, position registers and registers to count, and loop lines within a program. Students need to take Robotics-Intro to Programming prior to taking this class. The cost of this seminar is $675 and the class number is 23357.
