Start College Now

Start College Now is an opportunity for high school juniors and seniors to take college-level courses and earn both high school and college credit. Doing so can potentially save time and money toward a chosen degree. 

Eligibility

To be eligible for participation in Start College Now, students must:

• Have completed 10th grade
• Be enrolled in a public high school
• Receive approval from a parent/guardian
• Be in good academic standing at their high school
• Meet Lakeshore course entry requirements

Application Process

Applications are due to the high school by March 1 for fall semester and October 1 for spring semester. Each student should contact their high school counselor regarding their school’s process for submission and approval of the Start College Now application.

Speak with your high school counselor about applying for Start College Now before starting your application. After applications are approved, Lakeshore works with students regarding registration and enrollment. Be sure to keep application deadlines (listed above) in mind.
