This one day seminar addresses the requirements of 49 CFR Part 172, Subpart H. Hazmat training is required within 90 days for new employees; it must be repeated every three years and periodically as rules change. It is designed for individuals responsible for shipping and receiving hazardous materials, or those with regulatory compliance responsibilities for transportation management, dispatching, training, safety, or human resources. Participants should have working knowledge of types of hazardous materials and wastes commonly shipped from or received by their facility and are asked to bring copies of recent applicable shipping documents for in-class project work. A comprehensive hazardous materials resource book and CD of materials is included.
