This compliance course is designed to present detailed information about how the provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSH Act) must be implemented in the workplace, not only to achieve OSHA compliance, but to achieve quality expectations of business partners.

Course Description

The OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Outreach Training course is a comprehensive safety program designed for anyone involved in the general industry. Specifically devised for safety coordinators, foremen, management and anyone in a leadership role in general industry where they may have safety responsibilities. Students will learn about:

  • Hazard recognition 
  • Avoidance 
  • Abatement 
  • Prevention
  • Safety Management

In addition to learning about safety and health hazards in the workplace, students will also learn about OSHA, employer responsibilities, and worker rights. 

Approved by Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services for 2 hours of continuing education credit for:

  • Beginner Electrician
  • Commercial Electrical Inspector
  • Industrial Journeyman Electrician
  • Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician
  • Residential Journeyman Electrician
  • Residential Master Electrician
  • UDC-Electrical Inspector

Upon completion of the course you will receive a wallet-sized card from the U.S. Department of Labor that certifies completion of the course, as well as a certificate of completion.
