ACCUPLACER Assessment

Accuplacer is no longer required for program classes. Accuplacer is still utilized by Apprentices. The assessment is taken on the computer. The test is NOT timed. It typically takes 1.5-2 hours to complete.

Before You Take the ACCUPLACER

You have several options to prepare for taking the ACCUPLACER test:

• Study on your own, reviewing sample questions, the free Web-Based Study App, and online resources.
• Call LTC Manitowoc at 920.683.2846 or LTC Sheboygan at 920.208.5888 to get started on instructor-aided skill building to prepare for the Accuplacer.

Testing Schedule

Appointments are required for testing. Please call 920.693.1184. Testing is offered at LTC Cleveland.

Day of Test

Arrive 10 minutes early for check-in with photo ID and fee. You are not allowed to bring food, books, papers, calculators, listening devices, cell phones or electronic devices into the testing room. Pencils and scratch paper will be provided. On certain questions, an on-line calculator may appear.

Lakeshore Library References

Accuplacer Test Prep books are available for checkout at the Lakeshore Library. Books may be borrowed for one month and renewed if no one has a hold on it. Stop in to the Cleveland > Lakeshore Building > Student Resource Center to check one out, or call the Library at 920.693.1130 to place a copy on hold. Books can also be sent to LTC Manitowoc or LTC Sheboygan for pickup.

Free, interactive practice tests for the Accuplacer are available at Learning Express. Click on College Center, Prepare for College Placement Exams > Accuplacer Preparation. You must create an account on campus first to use Learning Express at home. Contact library@gotoltc.edu with questions.

Transcripts

Lakeshore Advisors will receive your ACCUPLACER scores if you took the assessment with Lakeshore. If you are using your test results for another college, please contact Testing Services at 920.693.1184. A written request is required and the transcript fee is $10.00/copy.
