$1.43 Million In Competitive Grant Funding Awarded to Lakeshore Technical College
Wisconsin Technical College System awards LTC the highest amount among all the system’s colleges.

CLEVELAND, WI —
Lakeshore Technical College received approval this week from the Wisconsin Technical College System board for $1.43 million in competitive grant funding, the highest amount among all 16 colleges in the Wisconsin Technical College System. This is an increase of $127,894 over last fiscal year.
The funding was awarded to support key areas including a new cybersecurity program launching in fall, culinary and nursing career pathways, and the radiography, welding, and mechanical design programs.
“The success we are seeing in competitive grant funding will support students preparing for in-demand, high-paying careers that employers in our district are looking for,” said LTC President Dr. Paul Carlsen. “Receiving this amount is a significant accomplishment for us and our district, especially considering we are the third smallest college in terms of full-time student enrollment within the state’s technical college system.”
LTC was also awarded: $416,095 in allocation grants that fund student success, nontraditional occupations, and professional growth efforts; and $274,788 in second-year allocations for Adult Education and Family Literacy Act funding that supports programs helping adults acquire basic such as reading, writing, math, English language proficiency, and problem solving.
