Lakeshore Technical College Graduates Report Significant Economic Impact

CLEVELAND, WI —
Lakeshore Technical College graduates of the 2019-2020 academic year report high wages and high employment rates after graduation. LTC follows up with graduates six months to a year after graduation to gauge how well the college is accomplishing its mission - “transform individuals to strengthen our communities through innovative and accessible learning.”
The survey found the median salary for an associate degree graduate was $51,996. Earning the highest salaries were graduates of the electro-mechanical automation technology and wind energy technology programs, at $70,507 and $68,895 respectively.
Eighty-six percent of the graduates reported obtaining employment in Wisconsin and 67 percent reported being employed within the LTC district, which includes Sheboygan and Manitowoc counties, and portions of Calumet and Ozaukee counties. Among the 67 programs included in the report, graduates from 45 programs reported 100 percent employment. Programs included in the 45 include welding-industrial, dairy herd management, radiography, nursing-associate degree, automotive maintenance technician, IT-web and software developer, and paralegal.
“Our communities rely on us to provide high quality, relevant educational opportunities so our graduates can earn family-sustaining wages with local employers,” said LTC President Dr. Paul Carlsen. “Knowing our graduates report such positive outcomes from obtaining an LTC education makes us very proud, and we are confident they will have brighter futures due to their education.”
