Lakeshore Technical College Guarantees In-Person Courses for Summer and Fall

CLEVELAND, WI —

With two successful semesters of uninterrupted in-person learning in the rear-view mirror, Lakeshore Technical College President Dr. Paul Carlsen announced today the college is guaranteeing that students who register for in-person summer and fall courses will learn in person for the entire semester.

“Our Incident Management Team has done an impressive job managing our campus activities so students could safely and effectively learn in the manner they prefer, which for the majority of our students is in person,” said Carlsen. “Because of that success over the past two semesters, we are confident in guaranteeing the availability of in-person courses for summer and fall. No courses will shift to virtual learning – temporarily or permanently – once the semester begins.”

Since the fall 2020 semester, in-person courses at Lakeshore Technical College have been running on schedule. LTC remains fully open to students, staff, and visitors. The summer terms starts June 7 and the fall term starts August 23. Face coverings are no longer required and there is no requirement for students to be vaccinated. 

Many general education courses are available in summer. Students wanting to transfer these courses to their four-year campuses are encouraged to discuss transferability with an LTC representative before enrolling. LTC offers over 300 course and program transfer options with a wide variety of public and private universities. All University of Wisconsin system campuses and 15 private in-state colleges have transfer agreements with LTC. Many four-year universities outside of Wisconsin also have agreements with LTC.
