Seniors at Random Lake High School Learn They Are All Accepted Into Lakeshore Technical College

CLEVELAND, WI —
College acceptance news does not typically arrive like it did for the Random Lake High School class of 2021. On Monday, March 1, the seniors were informed they were accepted for the summer and fall 2021 semesters at Lakeshore Technical College (LTC). The news was announced in person by School District of Random Lake Administrator Dr. Mike Trimberger, Random Lake High School Principal Susan McDonald, and LTC Executive Director of Admissions and High School Relations David Hermann.
Joining in the presentations were Random High School Counselor Julie Hausner and LTC Admissions Advisor Brittany Jurek.
"I am honored to be able to tell all of our graduates that their education in Random Lake has earned them an acceptance into college. We are proud of our students and our staff, and extremely grateful for the innovative collaboration we have with LTC. This partnership between Lakeshore Technical College and Random Lake High School is just another example of the RLAdvantage," said Trimberger.
According to Hermann, the school district and LTC have been discussing options for helping the seniors understand they do not need to jump through hoops to get accepted into LTC. “The traditional college admissions process is often stressful and overwhelming for students, a barrier that often deters students from going to college. At LTC, we’re committed to removing barriers for students and are proud to welcome the senior class of Random Lake High School to the LTC family,” said Hermann.
After the presentations, each of the 75 seniors received an official acceptance letter and information packet highlighting transfer opportunities to four-year colleges and universities, financial aid and scholarships, free laptops and WiFi hotspot rentals, and the ability to learn in person, online, or through a combination of both.
