CLEVELAND, WI —
Gregg Udulutch of Manitowoc was recently chosen by Lakeshore Technical College to serve as its Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Ambassador for the 2019-20 school year. The role is one of the most prestigious awarded by LTC to a student.
As Ambassador, Udulutch will promote LTC on campus, in the community, among legislators, and at WTCS events focusing on student recruitment. He will also receive a $1,000 scholarship.
Udulutch, who earned his High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) in 2014 and is currently employed full time, was anxious about returning to school. He chose LTC for several key reasons.
“I knew that I wouldn't get lost in the student body, that I could build comfortable relationships with my instructors, and that online offerings and being close to home meant I could work full-time and earn my degree,” Udulutch said. “LTC checked all the boxes and I couldn't be happier with my decision!”
Udulutch is enrolled in the human resource administration program at LTC, one of many associate degrees that can be earned online through LTC. He is a human resources coordinator at Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan, which made the availability of online classes important to him.
According to LTC Student Life Specialist Tammie Stahl, who coordinates the program for LTC, Udulutch stood out among an impressive group of candidates.
“Gregg has an inspiring success story to share about his educational path, and our selection committee believed that choosing him as our Ambassador would allow him many opportunities to encourage others to overcome some of the same obstacles he has faced,” Stahl said.
Udulutch expects to graduate in December 2020. He plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in human resources.
The Ambassador program is coordinated by the Wisconsin Technical College System. Each year, one student from each of Wisconsin’s 16 technical colleges is selected for the honor based on outstanding student achievement, community involvement, leadership, and a commitment to higher education.
