Radiography Petitioning Information

The petitioning process is the method that students follow to inform the Radiography program when they are ready and prepared to begin core Radiography courses. Students must first be admitted into the Radiography program, then petition for eligibility to take core Radiography courses. 

Students petition applications will open June 16 through June 30th, 2025.

Students accepted during this petition period will begin Core Radiography courses in January 2026.

Before you petition, be sure to complete the following requirements:

  1. Attend a Career Experience Session.
  2. Successful completion of Nursing Assistant within the past 5 years (or have been working as a Certified Nursing Assistant).
  3. Complete General Education Credits (with C or better grades), as listed below:

Petition Process Details

•     Petition form will open June 16 through June 30th, 2025.
•    The Program Counselor will verify the above requirements are met when petitions are received.
•    Students meeting above requirements will be accepted into core courses using the following criterion and in the following order of importance:

  1. Date of admission to Lakeshore College for Radiography.
  2. Date/time of petition submission.
  3. Number of general education courses completed.
