Student Achievement Data

Students are at the center of Lakeshore College actions. The academic success of students is Lakeshore’s highest priority. The college identifies student achievement data as metrics on retention, graduation, job placement, and industry-based credential/licensure attainment for applicable programs.

This data  is benchmarked with IPEDS  national data and compared with state data from the 16 colleges making up the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS). Lakeshore performs regular review of data, with the review following WTCS’s “Effective Use of Data Framework” within its review processes. 

Data is updated every September (after State Reporting for the previous year is final).

Job Placement

Job Placement data is based on a study performed on graduates six-months after they graduate from the College. 

Student populations excluded from data are apprenticeships, district and state certificates, basic skills, community education, and course takers.

Industry Based Credential Attainment/Licensure

Some intended careers of Lakeshore’s programs have external credential or license requirements. These external requirements are tracked by Lakeshore to ensure that students have as much opportunity as possible to obtain a career in their program field.

IPEDS Outcome Data

The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) gathers information from every college, university, and technical and vocational institution that participates in the federal student financial aid programs. Lakeshore College reports IPEDS data on enrollments, program completions, graduation rates, faculty and staff, finances, institutional prices, and student financial aid to the US Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). The College Navigator website is a resource, open to the public, where a summary of institutionally reported IPEDS data can be found and easily compared. Graduate Follow up Information

At Lakeshore College, we are committed to our graduates’ success. We follow up six months to one year after graduation to see how they’re doing. The information they provide confirms we are accomplishing our mission of preparing the workforce. It also serves as a convenient reference tool for students considering career options.
