Transcripted Credit and Advanced Standing Lookup

Welcome to the transcripted credit and advanced standing lookup page! This page provides you with information on what transcripted credit and advanced standing are and a way for you to see how the Lakeshore courses you may have taken (or will be taking) in high school will transfer into Lakeshore.

Transcripted Credit

Transcripted credit is 100% a Lakeshore course (including grading scale) that is taught by a  high school instructor who has met specific requirements. Students have the option to be awarded technical college credit if they take a course taught by a high school instructor where a “Transcripted Credit Articulation Agreement” exists for the course between the high school and technical college. Students must earn a letter grade of A, B or C on Lakeshore’s grading scale in order to earn college credit for the course. All students taking a transcripted credit class will have a Lakeshore transcript.

Advanced Standing

Advanced Standing courses are a close match to a Lakeshore course and are taught by a high school instructor who holds Department of Public Instruction licensure in the course content area. Students are eligible to receive technical college credit if they earn a B or better and an “Advanced Standing Articulation Agreement” exists for the course between the high school and technical college. Students are awarded college credit for successfully passed Advanced Standing coursework upon enrolling in a technical college. All Wisconsin technical colleges will accept advanced standing from another technical college, as long as the course is comparable to competencies and credits awarded at the receiving college. However, it is important to note that advanced standing credits are seldom accepted outside the Wisconsin Technical College System.
