Welcome to Lakeshore College, your local comprehensive community college. Students enroll here to master real-world career skills and start their pursuit of a bachelor’s degree. Faculty and staff focus on providing each of our 9,000 students an individualized learning experience leading to their success. Approximately 800 students graduate from Lakeshore each year, and associate degree graduates report earning a median salary of $59,899 within six months of graduating.
To encourage education and career success among those in the local Hmong community, Lakeshore encourages taking advantage of the following services and opportunities:
- Lakeshore Program Counselor Choua Lee holds office hours at the Hmong Mutual Assistance Association of Sheboygan, 2304 Superior Ave. Choua is fluent in both Hmong and English. She works with individuals enrolled in health and human services related programs including Nursing Assistant, Early Childhood Education, Dental Assistant, and Medical Coder. Choua is available at HMAAS by appointment 8 am - 3 pm on Wednesdays with drop-ins welcome 3 pm - 4:30 pm Wednesdays. She can be reached at 920.693.1237 or choua.lee@gotoltc.edu.
- English Language Learning (ELL) classes are offered for those whose primary language is not English. Students can learn reading, writing, listening, and speaking English. All instruction and materials are free. Classes are offered mornings and evenings at our Sheboygan and Manitowoc learning campuses. Open lab classes are offered at our Cleveland campus to support students enrolled in college-level courses. Online classes are also available. For more information, contact:
