Here’s your chance to experience the exciting world of welding—along with a friend—for FREE!

Welding is dominated by male workers and we’re trying to change that. By taking these free classes together, you and your friend can learn how to safely weld. You may even discover a potential new career for yourselves!

4-Night Series Schedule

May 1: Safety &Thermal Cutting Process
May 2: Introduction to GMAW Process
May 8: Bond with Friends to Build Masterpieces
May 9: Finish Projects

Each registered participant is required to bring a friend each evening. Consider it a fun experience with a friend, at no cost to either of you.

High school students are invited to experience a day as a Lakeshore Technical College student in our Advanced Manufacturing career area. Join us in our Nierode building, part of our KOHLER Center for Manufacturing Excellence.

• Learn about precision machining equipment and careers in the machining trade.
• Program, set up, and operate a CNC machine.
• Create a personalized precision part from raw metal.

Lakeshore Technical College, Cleveland Campus will be closed for our internal Team Development Day.

Students ages 11 to 13 will have a fabulous time fabricating their own creations while exploring careers and activities involving:

• Robotics
• Welding
• CNC Machining
• Auto Maintenance
• Agriculture

PLUS, we’ll take a bus and head to Viking Masek and Millapore Sigma to see these skills in action during guided tours of these high-tech manufacturing facilities. On this day we’ll enjoy lunch at Kohler-Andrae State Park.

IMPORTANT NOTES

• A $59 per student non-refundable fee includes lunches, snacks, t-shirt, and swag bag. 
• Students need to bring their own water bottle.
