Attend an In-Person Orientation

Orientation is a vital first step in ensuring your smooth transition to college life. Learn about tools and resources available to help you feel more prepared for your first days of classes.

  • At Orientation You Will:

    • Meet your instructors, fellow students, and staff members.
    • Learn details about your program and what to expect in program classes.
    • Interact with technologies (ex. Email, MyLTC, Blackboard) you’ll use as a student.
    • Learn about campus resources and student involvement opportunities.
    • Visit the Bookstore, get your student ID card, and find your classrooms after program orientation.

If you are a distance student or are unable to attend the in-person orientation, complete our Online Orientation. You still learn about important information, like what technologies you’ll use as a student (ex. Email, MyLTC, Blackboard), academic resources, student involvement opportunities, ways to pay for college, and other personal support services available to help you succeed here at LTC. Answer the "Check Your Understanding" questions at the end to recieve credit for completing.

College Orientation is 3 hours and Program Orientation about 1.5 hours; about 4.5 hours total (some Program Orientations do run longer – you’ll get an agenda after you register online).

Students who are new to LTC, newly accepted into an LTC Program, or students who haven’t attended LTC classes in 3 semesters are invited to attend orientation. If you feel that this is you, please register to attend!

Attending Orientation is highly recommended; you’ll meet your instructors and learn about resources to help make your first couple of days in school easier.

Having someone who supports your pursuit of higher education is important, so please feel free to bring one guest to Orientation.

There will be snacks and beverages available to students and their guests. Programs holding a longer Program Orientation will have light lunch provided.

Yes, definitely. Many students choose to attend Orientation to further explore their opportunities and hear more about the program they are considering at the program orientation.

If you aren’t able to make your scheduled session (which includes your program orientation), you can register for either of the other sessions available. Note: you won’t receive the program orientation info at this time.

If you are scheduled to attend a specific session but unable to make it, please call 920.693.1109 to reschedule or cancel.

LTC has an Online Orientation available to anyone who is unable to attend the in-person Orientation. Complete the “Check your Understanding” questions and submit with your name and Student ID# to receive credit for completing.
